Heart attack

A heart attack is called a myocardial infarction or MI. It occurs when a blood vessel that feeds the heart muscle becomes blocked. Blood flow stops in the area of the heart. If you do not immediately take the treatment, this part of the heart muscle dies. In this part of the heart creates a scar.
