EIGHT FOOD FOR HEALTHY HEART 

First Carrot - rich in beta-carotene and fiber.
Second Black and green tea - rich in flavonoids, reducing the oxidation of cholesterol.
Third Garlic - lowers blood pressure and cholesterol.
4th Salmon - rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Reduces triglycerides and cholesterol.
5th Broccoli - is rich in antioxidants and fiber.
6th Walnuts - rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin E.
7th Onions - raises HDL cholesterol.
8th Soy foods - vegetable proteins.


HOW AND WHAT TO EAT - Hints and Tips

• Eat foods that are composed of approximately 30% of calories from protein, 20% from fat and 50% from carbohydrates.
• Eat 50% of your calories raw.

• Eat lean proteins, which are the source of vegetables such as soy products, nuts, seeds, grains, rice, beans, corn. Animal protein should come primarily from sources such as fish and poultry, grown without addition of artificial hormones.
