Thrombophlebitis migrans

Migrans thrombophlebitis (phlebitis saltans) is a rare form of recurrent superficial thrombophlebitis, which can affect large and small veins throughout the body, and is often associated with other diseases.

The cause of
It is believed that this is allergy - hiperergijskoj vascular response to a variety of factors, eg. to local bacterial infection, tumor antigens, and the like. The disease is quite common in patients with cancer of the pancreas, lung and prostate cancer, leukemia, gout, lymphoma and trombangitis obliterans - a.

The clinical picture
Parts are usually thrombosed superficial veins in the legs, abdominal wall, thighs and arms, mostly in younger and middle godnina. Thrombosed veins and inflammatory part of the indurisan (hardened), and as a hardening and palpated as a pen or a rope, which is painful, and the skin over the vein edematous (swollen) and erythematous (red). With disease relapse and involvement of one hour, then the other veins, can last for months or years. The veins of the internal organs (spleen, mesentery) may also be affected, but it does not occur embolism.

Diagnosis
It is based on history, clinical, dermatological examination.

Treatment
Treatment is carried out Tylenol, the eventual systemic corticosteroids. Locally applied heparin and heparinoidni preparations. It is necessary to treat the local infection with antibiotics and stop smoking.

Thrombophlebitis

Means the occurrence of thrombophlebitis thrombus and inflammatory reaction of the walls of the superficial veins.

The cause of

Thrombophlebitis is common in the symptomatology of varices of the lower extremities, especially in females. The pathogenesis of thrombosis, the endothelium bit vein walls, slowing blood flow and blood hypercoagulability, all resulting in, for example. varices, venous trauma, prolonged lying in bed, using oral contraceptives, septic conditions and malignant infiltration of the walls of the veins.

The clinical picture

Inflammation (inflammatory) changes commonly observed in varicose veins on the thighs and lower legs. Thrombosed veins and inflammatory part of the indurisan (hardened), and as a hardening and palpated as a pen or a rope, which is painful, and the skin over the vein edematous (swollen) and erythematous (red). Body temperature is elevated. After a few days thrombophlebitis regress, and lags mass of connective tissue in the affected segment of vein (phlebosclerosis). Recurrences are common.
Diagnosis

It is based on history, clinical, dermatological examination.
Treatment

Apply Tylenol, salicylates, and platelet aggregation inhibitors, and antibiotics are indicated only for septic thrombophlebitis. Locally applied heparin and heparinoidni preparations. Diseased leg bends tourniquet. Be sure to repair all the factors that favor the development of thrombophlebitis.

Chronic venous insufficiency

Chronic venous insufficiency is a result of recurrent deep vein thrombosis and thrombophlebitis so called postflebitički syndrome. Given that the increased pressure in the venous system of the most important disturbance in this disease, some authors is called chronic venous hypertension.

The clinical picture
In chronic venous insufficiency, as a result of repeated deep thrombophlebitis, leads to irreversible changes in the veins in the form of obstruction and destruction of the valves (flaps). Stationary blood passes through the perforating veins in the superficial veins. Due to increased pressure, in time to rupture of small superficial veins and subcutaneous hemorrhage, which can eventually turn into pigmented surface. Later occurs skin atrophy, edema, fibrosis, and lymph paths otvraju the venous ulcers that do not heal easily. Patients complain of pain, swelling and heaviness in the legs. The scope of the extremities is increased, small injuries do not heal the skin and present trophic skin changes.

Diagnosis
It is based on history, clinical presentation, examination, Doppler, pletismografije, phlebography.

Treatment
Treatment consists of wearing elastic stockings, leg lifting when possible, skin care and more carefully, if necessary, dermatological care. In severe cases, surgical treatment is recommended. To relieve the symptoms apply to medicines and flebotomičnim vazoprotektivnim effect. If there is a venous ulceration apply antiseptic and antibiotic solutions and tools that encourage sanation of wounds.

Blood vessel disease

Vascular disease is also called peripheral vascular disease or arterial disease, where there is a narrowing of blood vessels in the abdomen, legs and arms. When the tears of blood vessels in your body parts comes less oxygen-rich blood. This may result in tissue and cells, or gangrene. Vascular disease is the leading cause of amputations. Blood vessel disease caused by the accumulation of fatty deposits called plaque. Some of the blood vessels or blood clots can cause other problems.

The symptoms of vascular disease in the abdomen, legs and arms
Muscle pain, stomach pain or cramps;
Cold, pale skin, cold hands and feet;
Reddish-blue color of the skin and nails on the hands and feet;
Painful wounds that long to heal or when okrastave look black;
Loss of hair on the legs, feet or toes;
Unconsciousness, or lack of pulse in the legs or feet.
Risk Factors
You are at greater risk for vascular disease if:
smoke,
have diabetes,
you are over 45 years,
you have high cholesterol,
have high blood pressure,
have family members who have heart or blood vessel disease,
you are overweight,
not active.
Him
Vascular disease can prevent or slow the healthy choices.
Check your blood pressure.
See your doctor every year.
Do not smoke or drink alcohol.
